ABSTRACT
This research paper focuses on the issues like ‘identity’, "racism', 'language’ to destablishment of Eurocentric norms of literary and artistic values and to expand the literary Canon, narrative Styles and the point of view. A brief introduction of postcolonial theory along with its origin at the outset, a brief introduction of postcolonial theory along with its origin and development is to be analysed here. Important writers like Edward Said, Gayatri Spivak, Bill Ashcroft, Homi Bhabha’s views are discussed in relation to this theory.

An Analysis of several representative authors like Hardy, W.B. Yeats, James Joyce, Seamus Heaney, Chinua Achebe, Joseph Conrad, E.M. Forster’s, Albert Camus along with their works are examined in terms of postcolonial perspectives. Postcolonial theory is a controversial and complicated field. Postcolonial Studies have been topic of discussions, arguments and debates. This theory is called a presentation of the Eurocentric versions of the colonial History.

ABSTRACT
A common man finds it hard to survive the immense pressure of this competitive, apathetic world. People resort to religion and spirituality for their sanity and peace of mind throughout the tug-of-war of the survival of the fittest, with the sole hope that it would teach them how to deal with this experience called life.

This research paper tends to analyse the incidents in the novel The Tale for the Time Being from the perspective of Zen philosophy and how lessons of Zen Buddhism are used vividly throughout the novel providing a stark contrast between the chaotic and tragic city lifestyle to that of Zen lifestyle in a temple, the cruelty of the city folks to that of the healing kindness of Zen Buddhist nuns. It will also throw light on how societal alienation affects a family so much that their whole psyche gets unhinged as they develop depressive and suicidal tendencies. This research paper will also discuss the characters mental anguish, how cultural shock, a toxic work environment, and bullying drove them to consider suicide as their only option, how alienation and the cultural shock led them to a miserable existence, and how there was a recurring theme of contemplating suicide because the constant torment of their existence was too much to bear as they were all fighting their own battles while trying to survive.

The study would also discuss how the Zen teachings moulded their life and made a difference, the nun was their only saviour as she pulls them out of the dark void they were in, through her simple Zen lessons.

Most of Thomas Hardy’s novels describe in a vivid way an inner voyage of characters from illusion to reality. This is what is case with Hardy’s novel The return of the Native. This novel depicts, as Penelope Vigar rightly puts it, “the tension between the real and the ideal, darkness and light, blindness, deceptions, dreams and illusions, which form an ever-changing pattern throughout the tale.” Almost all the characters in the novel including Clym Yeobright, Eustacia Vye, Mrs. Yeobright Thomasin Yeobright, Damon Wildene, and Diggory Venn they are extremely prone to illusions. While Eustacia Vye’s conception of reality is dim and romanticized, her attitude is constantly and erroneously based on a fantasy of freedom and a wistful longing for a glamorous and glittering life with “a Saul or Bonaparte” as her paramour. Mrs. Yeobright nourishes her own prejudices, fads and obsessions, and, thus, is quite grim and obstinate. Whatever that happens against her ideas cuts her down with mortification. Like Eustacia, she is also busy spinning dreams of glory and greatness around her son who is doing excellently well as a manager of a rich diamond business.

ABSTRACT
The last ten years of the twentieth century saw major political and social development in the rise of minimized writing. Different written works concocted their voices into standards to raise their personalities in society. Clans, Dalits, Ladies, and Laborers were the ethnic gatherings who thought of the issues of their personalities in the general public. Clans and Dalits held their way of life and customs. They typically shaped their writing into an oral structure. An ethnic gathering called Ancestral held significant pieces of India. They settle down at the out-dramas of the urban communities. They should be the earliest pilgrims in the region of India. Indian most established custom appeared in the way of life of Clans. India is the country that has seen the most industrialization in the ancestral belt bringing about significant changes in the ancestral culture. However, of the relative multitude of parts of culture religion is one of the most un-alterable. Ancestral writing, pervaded with ancestral cognizance, is likewise attempting to cut out a spot for itself in the realm of writing and analysis. For the current review, the moderator is attempting to concentrate on the set of experiences, societies, and religions of various ancestral gatherings of India which arose in the last 50% of the twentieth century.
